OPPRESSED LOGIC "The Past Ain't Gonna Change" CD
Most people don't realize how fucking bad ass Oppressed Logic was back in 94 and 95. This record is a collection of the early Oppressed Logic recordings from the time when the infamous Chuck Beers was drumming for the band from 94-98. These are songs fueled by hate and anger sung with a "Take No Shit" attitude. This is a great throw back to the days when Oppressed Logic was the band everyone loved to hate. The liner notes include a great history of the effect O.L. had on the East Bay scene and of their evolution within it. This is definitely a must have for hardcore drunk punk assholes who think to be free you have to live your life freely and don't subscribe to the "PC Full of Shit" attitude. Great songs on the here are, "Cheap Beer Hangover", "Eighty Sixed" and the classic, "Little Girls", which is a song that started a lot of controversy, and you can read about in the liner notes. The CD includes the "P.C Full Of Shit" 7", and the, "Ain't a Damn Thing Changed" full length release, plus many never released rarities, live tracks and new samples. The CD is awesome and really captures the fuck off attitude Oppressed Logic became notorious for. Remaining true to their roots, this record is the 3rd release. A lot of this music was recorded by Myk of Burnt Ramen studios who has recently started up a label and decided to release this record of early Oppressed Logic, because O.L. was one of the first bands he ever recorded when opening up his studio. Fuck What You Heard, This CD rocks! (Baked Fetus)
